Data and AI Engineer
Build the data and AI foundations behind every app and game we make, with privacy at the centre.
North Adapt is a small studio making apps and games for iPhone. We are looking for a Data and AI Engineer to build the data and AI foundations behind everything we make, from Bloc Drop to the apps and games coming next. You will work across every project, shape how we measure and learn, and show how a small team can use AI well.
What you will do
- Design and run the pipelines and reporting that show how our apps and games are doing: store analytics, crash and performance diagnostics, revenue and ad reports, and support feedback.
- Build AI-assisted tools that make a small team faster, such as support triage, translation and localisation checks, test generation, and balance and difficulty tuning.
- Set up the models, prompts and evaluation checks behind those tools, and measure whether they really help before we rely on them.
- Work with designers and engineers on each project to turn questions into measurements, and measurements into decisions.
- Keep privacy at the centre. Our apps do not send personal data to us and we want to keep it that way, so you will find ways to learn what we need without collecting what we do not.
- Own the tooling end to end: choose the stack, document it, and keep it simple enough for a small team to maintain.
What you bring
- Substantial experience building production data pipelines and analytics, from raw sources to dashboards people actually use.
- Hands-on experience delivering AI features or automation with large language models, including evaluation, cost and reliability.
- Strong SQL and Python, and the confidence to pick your own tools.
- A privacy-first mindset and good judgement about which data is worth having.
- Clear written communication, and the discipline to work independently in a small, remote team.
Nice to have
- Experience with mobile app analytics, App Store Connect and Game Center data, or ad monetisation reporting.
- Some Swift or iOS knowledge.
- Experience with localisation workflows or game balance tools.
- Experience mentoring engineers or setting technical direction at a small company.
How we work
- This role is fully remote.
- Small teams, real ownership and no crunch.
- One studio and one standard: the same care for every app and game we ship.

RemoteFull-time
Senior iOS Engineer
Build and ship native iPhone apps and games in Swift, with a sharp eye for smoothness, battery and polish.
We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to build and ship native apps and games for iPhone across all of our projects. You will work in Swift with SwiftUI and SpriteKit, own features from first prototype to App Store release, and care as much about smoothness, battery and polish as about new ideas.
What you will do
- Build and ship features in Swift, SwiftUI and SpriteKit across our apps and games.
- Own the details people notice: responsive touch, haptics, animation, accessibility and a light footprint on battery.
- Work with Apple frameworks such as StoreKit, Game Center, CloudKit, SwiftData and App Intents.
- Keep our code simple, tested and easy to maintain, and review other engineers’ work.
- Prepare builds for TestFlight and the App Store, and fix what testing finds.
- Help decide what to build next, and when not to build something.
What you bring
- Substantial experience shipping iPhone apps with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Experience with SpriteKit or another real-time graphics approach, or a strong feel for performance and frame rate.
- A record of apps that people use and rate well, with real care for accessibility and localisation.
- Comfort testing, debugging and profiling, including with Instruments.
- Clear written communication, and the discipline to work independently in a small, remote team.
Nice to have
- Experience with in-app purchases, ads and consent flows.
- Experience shipping an app in many languages.
- Puzzle or casual game experience.
- Experience mentoring engineers or setting technical direction at a small company.
How we work
- This role is fully remote.
- Small teams, real ownership and no crunch.
- One studio and one standard: the same care for every app and game we ship.

Senior Game and Product Designer
Design how our apps and games play, feel and grow, from tuning a puzzle to shaping a new app’s first five minutes.
We are looking for a Senior Game and Product Designer to design how our apps and games play, feel and grow. You will work on every project, from tuning the difficulty of a puzzle to shaping a new app’s first five minutes, and you will turn ideas into prototypes that people can try.
What you will do
- Design the core loop, progression and difficulty of our games, and the flows of our apps, from first idea to finished feature.
- Build quick prototypes, playtest them with real people, and use what you learn to improve them.
- Tune levels, rewards and pacing so they feel fair, with no pay-to-win and no energy timers.
- Design clear, accessible interfaces for small screens that work well with one hand.
- Write the words in our products: short, friendly and clear.
- Work with engineers every day, and with our data and AI engineer to learn from how things are used.
What you bring
- Substantial experience designing mobile games or apps that shipped.
- Strong systems thinking and a feel for difficulty, pacing and rewards.
- A portfolio of prototypes, design documents or shipped features, with your role in each made clear.
- Good instincts for touch, accessibility and small screens.
- Comfort with fair monetisation: ads and one-time purchases that respect people.
Nice to have
- Puzzle or casual game experience.
- Experience with prototyping tools or level and balance tools.
- An understanding of localisation and how design changes between languages.
- Some scripting or code, enough to try your own ideas.
How we work
- This role is fully remote.
- Small teams, real ownership and no crunch.
- One studio and one standard: the same care for every app and game we ship.
